Raw renderer diagnostics from sealed captures, without original-store access.

Manifest hashes verify content integrity, not numerical equivalence. Reported probe gates remain reported gates. Cold/warm repeats are observations within matched mechanism roots, not independent scenes; no confidence intervals or population estimates are calculated. Attempts retain separate identities.

Preserve attempt/root/arm/repeat identity and separately expose unavailable rows.

1.1.2 open_regular_capture

reporting.renderer_probe_figures.open_regular_capture(path)

Open one regular evidence file without blocking on special files.

Reject symlink ancestors and admit the opened descriptor with fstat. Callers hash and consume this same descriptor. Inputs must remain immutable: this does not freeze concurrent in-place edits or create a filesystem snapshot. Missing, unreadable and nonregular inputs raise ValueError.
