1 oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation

Stream actual renderer observations and verify portable matched CF traces.

Capture is diagnostic and single-chain: one live candidate raster survives only until its selected action is resolved. Sidecars contain complete finite-action and actual prepared-state tables, but only the selected low-resolution raster. Readers verify bytes and semantic joins without meshes, original absolute paths or the acquisition Git checkout. They do not reproduce training or grant corpus admission. Missing payloads remain unavailable rather than becoming zeros.

1.1 Classes

Name Description
RendererValidationCapture Bounded observer for one source/target/recipe rollout attempt.
RendererValidationTrace Portable trace whose payloads and candidate/state joins were checked.

1.1.1 RendererValidationCapture

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.RendererValidationCapture(
    root,
    *,
    identity,
    identity_capture_seconds=0.0,
)

Bounded observer for one source/target/recipe rollout attempt.

Call capture_scoring with the scorer’s actual raster and preparation, then capture_selection through the adapter’s observation resolver. No second scored table is admitted while the first is pending. finish seals every selected step, including final/H1 selections. Acquisition failure leaves an explicitly incomplete directory without a terminal manifest.

1.1.1.1 Methods

Name Description
capture_scoring Hold one actual candidate raster, streaming non-raster state immediately.
capture_selection Record actual policy probabilities and full selected acquisition, never rerender.
clear Release pending borrowed GPU tensors after an error; preserve written evidence.
finish Seal a completed trace, rejecting unresolved scored actions.
1.1.1.1.1 capture_scoring
oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.RendererValidationCapture.capture_scoring(
    capture,
)

Hold one actual candidate raster, streaming non-raster state immediately.

1.1.1.1.2 capture_selection
oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.RendererValidationCapture.capture_selection(
    step,
    evaluation,
    observation,
)

Record actual policy probabilities and full selected acquisition, never rerender.

1.1.1.1.3 clear
oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.RendererValidationCapture.clear()

Release pending borrowed GPU tensors after an error; preserve written evidence.

1.1.1.1.4 finish
oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.RendererValidationCapture.finish(
    terminal_reason,
    *,
    selected_highres_seconds=None,
)

Seal a completed trace, rejecting unresolved scored actions.

1.1.2 RendererValidationTrace

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.RendererValidationTrace(
    identity,
    steps,
    arrays,
    terminal_reason,
    terminal_scored_step=None,
    terminal_arrays=None,
    unavailable=(),
)

Portable trace whose payloads and candidate/state joins were checked.

1.1.2.1 Attributes

Name Description
identity Sealed original source/target/config identities; paths are never resolved.
steps Ordered actual transition records, one per selected action.
arrays Validated step sidecars; arrays retain recorded dtype, shape and units.
terminal_reason Actual early-stop reason, or None when the declared horizon completed.
terminal_scored_step Actual scored table with no selected action at a legitimate terminal step.
terminal_arrays Validated terminal geometry/state and possibly nonfinite scores, without a fabricated raster.
unavailable Missing relative payload names; an incomplete trace cannot qualify.

1.2 Functions

Name Description
compare_backend_renderer_traces Compare two execution backends over one immutable source and recipe.
compare_renderer_traces Compare actual finite tables and full selected history, retaining every missing step.
compare_source_renderer_traces Compare same-recipe traces from independently admitted acquisition sources.
main Compare portable actual traces using independently supplied frozen identities.
read_renderer_validation Verify seals and semantic action/state joins from a relocated hydrated bundle.
renderer_equivalence_gate Apply frozen numerical criteria, separating target-local and full-image claims.
renderer_mesh_seal Seal original mesh shape, dtype and content once, charging capture overhead.
renderer_tensor_sha256 Hash dtype, shape and exact CPU bytes without changing observation order.
validate_renderer_capture_policy Reject geometric directed selectors outside this Oracle-score verifier.
write_renderer_phase_timings Seal existing writer/endpoint phase durations without changing store schemas.

1.2.1 compare_backend_renderer_traces

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.compare_backend_renderer_traces(
    baseline,
    candidate,
    *,
    tolerance=1e-06,
)

Compare two execution backends over one immutable source and recipe.

Platform, provider and device are retained in each trace but excluded from scientific identity admission. Only explicitly enumerated device paths are projected out: target, mesh, source seal, policy and numeric configuration remain exact. This comparison does not admit a rebuilt actor root with a different source seal. The existing observed-table reducer retains its exact causal/mask/ranking checks and absolute-only metric tolerance.

1.2.2 compare_renderer_traces

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.compare_renderer_traces(
    baseline,
    cropped,
    *,
    tolerance=1e-06,
)

Compare actual finite tables and full selected history, retaining every missing step.

Prefixes are repeated measurements within this scene/replica, never IID samples. Aggregation across scenes remains with existing recipe reducers. No endpoint or runtime equality is inferred from agreeing configuration seals.

1.2.3 compare_source_renderer_traces

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.compare_source_renderer_traces(
    baseline,
    candidate,
    *,
    tolerance=1e-06,
)

Compare same-recipe traces from independently admitted acquisition sources.

Unlike the full/crop contrast, every scientific identity field must match, including the enabled crop. Source revision admission belongs to the frozen source-contrast receipt; this function cannot prove source or store joins.

1.2.4 main

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.main(argv=None)

Compare portable actual traces using independently supplied frozen identities.

1.2.5 read_renderer_validation

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.read_renderer_validation(
    path,
    *,
    expected_identity,
)

Verify seals and semantic action/state joins from a relocated hydrated bundle.

Unavailable sidecars are explicit; altered/truncated files or invalid joins raise ValueError. Expected identity must come from the frozen experiment arm, not from the same manifest being verified.

1.2.6 renderer_equivalence_gate

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.renderer_equivalence_gate(row)

Apply frozen numerical criteria, separating target-local and full-image claims.

1.2.7 renderer_mesh_seal

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.renderer_mesh_seal(vertices, faces)

Seal original mesh shape, dtype and content once, charging capture overhead.

Vertices are world metres and faces refer to the original vertex ordering. This is a byte identity, not a claim of geometric or oracle equivalence.

1.2.8 renderer_tensor_sha256

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.renderer_tensor_sha256(value)

Hash dtype, shape and exact CPU bytes without changing observation order.

1.2.9 validate_renderer_capture_policy

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.validate_renderer_capture_policy(policy)

Reject geometric directed selectors outside this Oracle-score verifier.

Directed selectors replace measured labels with geometric selection values. Production cropping supports them, but this bounded diagnostic contract does not claim to verify their distinct mathematics.

1.2.10 write_renderer_phase_timings

oracle.pipelines.renderer_validation.write_renderer_phase_timings(
    root,
    *,
    store_dir,
    writer_config,
    timings,
)

Seal existing writer/endpoint phase durations without changing store schemas.

Attempt receipts remain the authoritative complete worker elapsed time. This companion does not pretend the sum of instrumented phases is full lifecycle time. A disabled endpoint measurement is explicitly unavailable, not zero.
