1 reporting.figure_origins

reporting.figure_origins

Exact producer bindings for live outputs of the current report builder.

This adapter follows the closed section/result schemas in the reporting owners. It does not discover historical provenance from a filename or Plotly JSON. Loaded historical bundles instead use their exact snapshot/result catalog binding. Nothing is added to a sealed ReportFigure or its scientific transaction.

1.1.1 live_report_figure_identity

reporting.figure_origins.live_report_figure_identity(snapshot, result_id)

Resolve one current-builder output without rebuilding or importing plots.

Caller precondition: snapshot was built by the current supported report implementation. A frozen recipe identifies its declared section schema but does not record the historical producer code revision. Therefore this function must not be used to fill unknown lineage of loaded historical bundles; those require exact result_identity evidence.

The exact result must exist, match one configured section’s supported output schema, and carry the required source kind. Section flags and selected channels remain binding. An unsupported/ambiguous result raises the shared typed lookup error instead of attributing it to a generic renderer. The development-toggle adapter calls this function lazily; normal report display does not need identity lookup, source acquisition or another figure build.
